EVS announced today at NAB that it’s new EVS Media Importer Application will make it much easier to work with EVS clips inside Final Cut Pro. Imagine browsing through clips (using thumbnails no less) and dragging them into your FCP media bin and being able to use them on-the-fly. Could this lead to the “ultimate melt tape” solution? Your elvis guy does the melt, you drag it into FCP, save to disk and you’re out the door.

STVP was at the LA Memorial Coliseum on March 29th. NMT had two trucks in attendance, NESN was in the workhorse DX18 with KCAL-9 in the newer HD11. If you watched either show, you saw the extreme centerfield angle and how many of the low cameras were blocked by people standing around. In the end, it really lived up to it’s billing as an “exhibition”
